Fall

I love fall. Its my absolute favorite season. Its not too hot and not too cold. The leaves all around us and leave pretty scenery begging for pictures to be taken. Trips to the park to sit around and talk with my friends, or carving pumpkins to look like silly creation are just some of my favorite parts. It help remind me what a wonderful God we have and how his hand is in all creation. Fall is peaceful. I think little can really compare to sitting outside watching the leaves fall and forgetting all about your troubles. Thanksgiving also comes with the fall and that brings lots of yummy baking of things such as pumpkin pie and turkey with stuffing. It gives you the feeling of togetherness and makes you feel loved by those who are with you. So fall can easily be the single most best time of the year. It doesnt matter young or old you would have to be ignorant to not see how beautiful leaves falling are. So next time you see leaves falling or hear someone complaining about raking the leaves, tell them to stop and take in God's wonderful masterpiece.

You never know....

This week we all have faced a hard fact of life, death. I guess the saying you never know what ya got till its gone really is true. We lost two great hard working, God-fearing students last Monday, and it has affected many. I didnt really know the Maxwells that well, i had talked to them maybe once or twice, but to see the impact they had on our school and their community works wonders in a person. I believe that this was all in God's plan to help us in some way we cant really see yet. Plus, God did not send us into this tragedy alone in Revelation 7:17 God reassures us "For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." He is our great comforter and will always be their in our times of sorrow. I firmly believe from the stories i have heard from thoses close to them and from personally seeing their actions that all four of the Maxwells are in heaven right now looking down on us and one day we will get to see them again. We can look foward to the day talked about in REvelation 21:4. It talks about a day where "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." So if all else fails and we feel like we cant go on turn to God and he will help carry you through.
